: Presentations and articles

The Ereignis Center develops a cross-disciplinary approach to philosophy, psycho-analysis, and the arts, and our work is made available through high-quality journals and presented at international conferences. This presentation, on the art of Bjarne Melgaard and his relation to Edvard Munch, was given at the London South Bank University in 2018. It was later developed into a full-length essay. Our research into Knut Hamsun’s (picture) complex relation to psycho-analysis was presented at Lund University, Sweden, in 2019. We have also made relevant our research on machine learning, immanence and presencing, and on Bergman’s film The Shame, about a fictional invasion of an island in the Baltic ocean, to an international security conference.

Our peer-reviewed journal feauring current thinking on philosophy, psycho-analysis, and the arts, Inscriptions, is published twice a year. In addition to world class scholarship, we publish outstanding literary fiction (July) and creative art (January). Inscriptions gives expression to the thoughts and sentiments that define our age. It is open for submissions from emerging and established authors.
